President Trump received a warm welcome at UFC 264. Trump — who become the first sitting president to attend a UFC event back in 2019 — arrived just before the co-main event between Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Gilbert Burns. He entered with UFC President Dana White, who spoke at the RNC in 2020 and is a longtime friend of President Trump.
The 45th President of the United States sat just a few rows behind the broadcast booth.
Upon entering the arena, Trump received a warm welcome with plenty of cheers. There is always a mixture of boos and cheers at these types of events, but this one was notably on the cheering side. Chants of “USA” also broke out while the President received a standing ovation from many in the crowd.
The reception was notably better than the one Trump received at UFC 244, which was more on the icy side. There were cheers there as well, but they were much more pronounced at last night’s than in 2019.
