Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has become well known as one of the harshest leaders in America during the coronavirus pandemic. Wolf has had a statewide mask mandate implemented for months and had small businesses closed for weeks on end in the spring. Just last week, he signed an executive order that prevented serving alcohol past 11 PM in the Keystone State.
However, Wolf is now in a heated controversy for comments he made off camera at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. Without realizing the microphone was on, he tells State Rep. Wendy Ullman that he will take his mask off when he speaks. Ullman jokingly replies “I will as well, just, I’m waiting so that we can do a little political theatre. …. So that it’s on camera.” You can see the full leaked footage here:

This is no surprise. Tom Wolf doesn’t care what you think of him. He attacked peaceful protestors in April and early May for wanting to re-open Pennsylvania and end the foolish lockdowns that forced the closure of so many small businesses. Just weeks later, he stood with the mob and marched with members of Black Lives Matter in Harrisburg.
It’s unclear if the Governor will release a statement about the leaked footage. As of 12 PM ET on Wednsday (the following day), his office had yet to acknowledge the situation.
