Paul Felder is set to be on the mic tomorrow night for the UFC’s second event at Fight Island. The Irish Dragon will be doing something legendary, however. During the event, Felder will be stepping off the mic to corner Jared Gordon, who has no coaches after they all tested positive for COVID-19.
Felder is currently in quarantine following close contact he made with an infected individual. In an Instagram post, the Philly native stated that he has passed multiple COVID tests and is simply riding out the quarantine. He was of course absent from the UFC 251 commentary team, and this is why.
Felder also announced his plans to corner Jared Gordon in the same video.”I will be working Wednesday (and) I will also be cornering Jared Gordon, so I’ll take a little break from working the show,” he stated.
Gordon has been very thankful for the short notice coach. “155lbs for @felderpaul 145lbs for me. Man we look good. Thanks for the help buddy!” Gordon said in a tweet.
How bad-ass is it going to be to have Paul Felder cornering an MMA fight in a suit?
